Dream, Delight, Discover
A self-initiated film for The Woodlands Resort, built around the tension between two kinds of rest.
We came to The Woodlands Resort with an idea rather than an invoice: let us write and produce something fresh for the property, on our terms. They agreed. That freedom is the reason the film is a story about a getaway instead of a list of amenities.
A young woman leaves a long day at work and arrives at The Woodlands Resort in search of renewal. Fast, exhilarating cuts carry the adventurous half — a tennis match, a round of golf — while slower, tranquil scenes by the pool let the film breathe. The rhythm does the arguing: a good getaway is both the sprint and the stillness, back to back.
The resort trusted us with the concept before a single frame existed — that trust is what let the idea stay whole.
— The Woodlands Resort, on backing the pitch
We built two visual vocabularies into one film: handheld and urgent for the active scenes, locked-off and unhurried for the rest. The cut does the work of showing they’re the same trip.
The film runs across the resort’s social channels and website, and went on to win a Telly Award — Bronze.
