Story of Love
A film about the people who make a school feel like a school — teachers who show up early, and stay long after the bell.
Presbyterian School of Houston wanted a film about what actually makes the place work — not the programs, but the people showing up early and staying late for their students.
We filmed over several days, staying out of the way as much as the shots allowed, so the interactions on camera — in the classroom, around campus — stayed genuine rather than performed for us.
Dr. Mark Carleton, the school’s Head of School, wrote and performed the voiceover himself — and spent as much time personally teaching students on camera as he did supporting our crew behind it.
— Dr. Mark Carleton, Head of School
Several days on campus, built around real class time and real interactions rather than a locked shot list. Dr. Carleton’s hands-on approach meant the film had a second director’s eye on it the whole way through.
It’s become the school’s way of introducing itself — through the relationships between teachers and students, not a list of what the school offers.
