Predictably Unpredictable | Hotel Lucine

For this 30-second commercial, our team handled every aspect of production—from writing and directing to producing and editing—crafting a film that captures the peculiar, timeless charm of Hotel Lucine.

To achieve a rich, cinematic look, we shot on the Alexa 35 paired with classic Cooke Panchros, blending modern clarity with a vintage softness that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Every frame was meticulously composed to reflect the hotel’s whimsical character—where mid-century elegance meets unexpected quirks, like toilet art, a record player stuck on French jazz, and avant-garde cuisine that even surprises the chef.

The goal was to make Hotel Lucine feel like a place out of time—both familiar and dreamlike, where the unexpected belongs. The visual approach leaned into symmetry, warm color palettes, and subtle imperfections, embracing a Wes Anderson-esque aesthetic that enhances the hotel’s quirky yet sophisticated identity.

From concept to final cut, this commercial transports viewers into a world that feels as elegantly odd and effortlessly charming as Hotel Lucine itself.
